As I get ready to write up lesson plans I am keeping this format. Since my class schedule is weird and I have my classes for different amounts of time each day, I will plan a more complicated activity such as stations or something for my longer days only. This means I'll probably have to make 5 different sets of lesson plans, but so what! I loved how this week went and I want my kids to keep "getting it!"
This started as a blog about my experience with a flipped classroom. It has followed me from 7/8 grade to 5/6 to 3rd and now back to 8th Algebra 1 and 7th PreAlgebra. I still dabble in flipped classroom, but experiment with many teaching strategies which I would like to share.

Things that make you go hmmmm
Really happy with the way the week ended. I gave a quiz to my students and almost all passed. I think I had 2 or 3 out of 72, and I'm talking A's and B's passed. What did I do differently this week? Well after Monday, when my math coach came in, I went back to basics. I just gave them what they needed to know in about 10 minutes (being careful not to TELL them things, but ask questions that lead them to what I want them to know) and them boom practice, practice, practice!
